  • BOOKINGS & COSTS
    We do not offer bookings for 1 day. Bookings of minimum 5 days required. You must trade the opening hours from Wednesday – Sunday.
  • Wednesday
    8am to 3pm
    Thursday
    8am to 6pm
    Friday
    8am to 6pm
    Saturday
    8am to 3pm
    Sunday
    8am to 3pm
  • $600.00 + GST per week
    *Electricity – Included in weekly charge
    *Trestle Tables Hire – Included in weekly charge 2 tables maximum per stall if required or you may bring your own

 

  • THE PROCESS
    Prospective traders are required to complete the application form in full and return it to the Preston Market Management Office complete with the following paperwork:
  • If general merchandise vendor
     Copy of Drivers Licence OR Passport
     Photographs of proposed products
     Copy of public liability insurance (only if application approved)
  • If Food Vendor
     Council Permit OR Street Trader
     Food Handling Certificates
     Photos of proposed products
     Photos of your stall set up
     Copy of Drivers Licence OR Passport
     Copy of public liability insurance (only if application approved)
  • If Not-for-profit organisations
     Copy of Drivers Licence OR Passport
     Copy of public liability insurance
     Proof of ACNC Register
  • Upon receipt of your completed application form, the application will then be reviewed to ensure your products meet our selection criteria and Preston Market will then be in a position to either offer you a casual licence or alternatively your application will be denied. There is no guarantee that all applicants will be accepted. Please allow up to 10 business days for the reviewing process.

 

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF MY APPLICATION IS APPROVED?
    An email will be sent with confirmation of your successful application. Prior to commencement a copy of your Public Liability Insurance (Certificate of Currency) will be required to be given to Preston Market Management Office. Short listed applicants will be asked to make a booking and we will allocate you an appropriate stall position depending on the dimensions of your proposed stall set up and the products which you are selling. Payment of your stall booking MUST be made upfront to secure your bookings. If payment is not made before your commencement you will not be permitted to trade. Approved stallholders will be required to trade the opening hours as per the above. Please note that you will be required to pack up and take your equipment home with you each night. We do not offer storage. If you are a food vendor you will be required to ensure that you have all of the necessary wash up equipment as approved by Council. Should you need access to water you will be required to bring your own tap key for use of the taps.
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF MY APPLICATION IS DECLINED?
    An email will be sent with the outcome of your application. In many cases declined applicants will be placed on file and contacted should there be a position available for them in future.
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I ONLY WANT TO BOOK A ONE OFF STALL?
    Unfortunately we do not accept one off stall bookings. You must trade a minimum of 5 days (Wed – Sun).
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL A BOOKING?
    We require 7 days’ notice for booking cancellations. We do not provide refunds for any cancellations however prior payment made for any cancelled bookings will rollover as a credit to be used for another day.
  • PARKING
    Parking at Preston Market on market days:
    It’s pretty easy – the first 2 hours are free (TICKET NOT REQUIRED) and $2.50 for each additional hour (maximum stay of 4 hours and ticket required).
    Once you have reached your maximum stay of 4 hours you will be required to find alternative parking which can be located at the football oval across the road along Cramer Street or next to budget hire along Murray Road. Please ensure that you read the parking signs carefully.
  • RUBBISH
    Rubbish must be taken with you at the end of the day. Do not leave any behind.
  • BUMP IN
    You must carry or trolley in your equipment for set up. Please ensure that you are prepared to do this as you cannot drive in to the market with your vehicle. Please be set up by no later than 8am each day.
  • BUMP OUT
    You must carry or trolley out your equipment. Please ensure that you are prepared to do this as you cannot drive in to the market with your vehicle. Please begin pack up after close of trade each day.
